Job summary

IKM is seeking an experienced Field Engineer for offshore Mechanical Completion activities. You will perform MC tasks, monitor installation progress, and conduct testing and punch rounds to ensure readiness.

The role requires offshore experience, valid certificates, and English proficiency. Rotation is 14/28, with assignment from Bergen through December 2027.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum vocational certificate in automation/electrical fields with field engineer experience.
• offshore/large-scale facilities 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MC/Field Engineer tasks and procedures.
• Proficiency with ProCoSys and PIMS365 systems.

Job description

• Perform Mechanical Completion (MC) and Field Engineer duties in an offshore environment.
• Follow up on installation activities and monitor progress.
• Manage system completion, conduct punch rounds, and carry out testing.
• Oversee the handover process to the client and manage red-line mark-ups of technical documentation.

Required expertise

• An engineering degree or a technical college diploma in electrical engineering or automation is preferred.
• A minimum of a vocational certificate in automation or electrical fields, combined with documented experience as a field engineer, is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience from offshore or large-scale onshore facilities.
• Proven experience with MC/Field Engineer tasks and working according to procedures.
• Proficiency with ProCoSys and PIMS365 systems.
• Knowledge of SIMOCOD.
• Familiarity with standard energy sector work processes.
• Valid certificates for: Basic EX, FSE (High/Low Voltage with first aid), Work Permit/SJA, and Fall Protection.
• Must hold a valid offshore medical and safety certificate.
