AnkerDB AS in Oslo is seeking a senior marketer to own positioning and messaging for BIM data products. You will work closely with customer success, product, and engineering to craft compelling content and drive market understanding.
Based in Oslo with hybrid flexibility, you will translate complex technical benefits into clear stories for owners, developers, and decision-makers, while measuring impact across channels.
Location: Oslo, Norway (Hybrid)Employment type: Full-timeStart date: As soon as possible
Our customers think we're transformational. Generational . That we're building a new product category.
We have real traction. 66% of our customers are in Norway, and we're growing on our own revenue.
What we haven't done well is tell that story. Our positioning is inconsistent across construction, planning, and operations, and our best proof points aren't being used.
AnkerDB is a pioneering way to work with BIM data, and the industry doesn't fully know it's coming yet. Construction, planning, and operations have never had something like this before, so people reach for familiar comparisons to make sense of it. Those comparisons rarely do us justice.
Here is how I think about it. We try to sell a hammer to a carpenter. We should sell a house to an owner. We should sell information to the people who need and use it, not to the people who produce it. Take a senior project director at a hospital builder with no BIM background. She wants AnkerDB because she gets better information, faster, and much cheaper than from consultants who charge for every query.
Many people in this industry have worked the same way for 20 to 30 years. We're not asking them to learn a new tool. We're asking them to rethink how they work. That's a bigger, harder, and more significant ask than most technology gets to make.
This isn't a branding problem to smooth over. It's the real work of introducing something the market doesn't have a category for yet, helping people understand something genuinely new, without jargon, and without shrinking it down to a comparison that undersells what it actually is.
This is one of the most interesting, and hardest, parts of the role.
It's also one of the highest-leverage hires we'll make this year. We're looking for someone hungry who can do all of it: write, publish, measure, and learn from customers.
Our head of customer success and I are closest to our customers and the market. Our CTO and co-founder leads the engineering team that builds what you'll be explaining. You'll work with all of us, and with sales. You'll turn customer results and live deals into positioning, content, and messaging that actually lands across every market where we have traction.
You'll be based in Oslo, close to the team and our customers. Hybrid, with flexibility.
This isn't a build-awareness-from-zero role. It's a translate-what's-working-into-a-story role, done exceptionally well.
