Job summary

MacGregor is seeking an E&I Engineer to design, optimize, and analyze electrical systems across our maritime product portfolio. Based in Kristiansand or Arendal, Norway, you will work from tender reviews to supporting cross-functional teams with technical guidance to ensure high performance and safety.

The role welcomes both experienced engineers and motivated graduates, with opportunities to contribute across lifecycle stages and maintain compliance with marine/offshore standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or equivalent (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and classification society requirements.
• Strong analytical skills for conducting technical calculations and various analyses.
• Spoken and written fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and optimise electrical systems for new and existing products.
• Perform electrical calculations and analyse systems to identify issues or improvements.
• Evaluate incoming customer specifications during bid stage, identify deviations and build accurate tender packages.
• Ensure engineering outputs are aligned with project schedules, budgets and classification regulations.
• Participate in risk assessments, root-cause and FMEA/FMECA analyses, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Technical Advisors, Product Owners and Discipline Manager.
