Job summary

Vard Interiors is seeking a Bid Manager to lead the bid process for assigned sales projects within the maritime interiors sector. You will prepare cost calculations, review proposals, and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to clarify scope.

The role requires higher education or equivalent experience, fluency in English and Norwegian, knowledge of vessel interiors, HVAC and piping, and a proven bid-winning track record.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education, or equivalent experience.
• Good written and spoken English and Norwegian skills.
• Knowledge of vessel interiors, HVAC and piping systems.
• Understanding of shipbuilding processes and the maritime industry.
• Experience with cost estimation, commercial analysis or bid management is an advantage.
• Proven experience in securing contracts and delivering successful bids is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the bid process for assigned sales projects.
• Prepare and review cost calculations and commercial proposals.
• Develop and review technical proposals for customers.
• Maintain and improve cost estimation tools, routines and databases.
• Conduct cost analyses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain risk registers throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to clarify project scope and requirements.
• Facilitate project handover from Sales to Project Execution.
• Support the continuous development of estimating methodologies and best practices.
