Overview

Wesmans' Technical Team provide our clients with expert advice and a full range of marine and cargo surveys.

We are currently seeking new members to join our skilled Technical team to be based in one of the major "Maritime/offshore" cities in Norway.

Senior Marine & Cargo Surveyor – Norway

The vacant positions for Senior Marine & Cargo Surveyor include either Marine or Cargo Surveys or both based on your background.

Responsibilities
  • Attend surveys, liaise with Principals and Opponents and reporting
  • H&M, P&I and Condition Surveys
  • Cargo Surveys, transport liability- and freight forwarder Surveys
  • Pre-Shipment Surveys, loading and securing Surveys
  • Collaborate closely with all departments and cross countries to ensure seamless operations.
  • Be prepared for travel, often on short notice, as part of the role.

Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working within the maritime, transport and/or logistic sector. Priority is given to applicants with a background as Engine Officer, technical superintendent or in other technical field, or with documented experience as H&M Surveyor / Technical Surveyor. Relevant, documented experience may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Language Skills: Clear communication and language skills in both English and a Nordic language, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
