Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Stord, Norway, is hiring a Project Engineer to develop and deliver control systems for integrated electrical setups, including battery hybrid and full electric solutions for newbuilds and retrofits.

You will work with various hardware/software platforms, with mentoring from a dedicated team until you gain independence. This is a permanent role in the Ship Electrification Solutions team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical power or related field preferred; or equivalent ship/automation experience.
• Interest in PCs, data networks and programming.
• Ability to work systematically with high quality in mind.
• Good language skills in English; Norwegian a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Control and safety systems engineering.
• Programming of SCADA/PLC systems.
• Data networks and cyber security.
• Configuration and testing of computers, PLCs and data networks in the lab.
• Documentation of deliveries.
• Teamwork in an international environment.
• Responsibility for own customer projects.
