Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Technical Support & Control System Engineer to join our After Sales team. You will design and implement control systems for cranes and handling equipment, while delivering hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.

You will work on testing, commissioning, and documenting activities, collaborating with customers, production, and service teams in a fast-growing maritime environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in programming PLC and HMI/SCADA; Siemens/ TI A Portal knowledge advantageous.
• Practical experience configuring and commissioning frequency drives.
• Knowledge of OT networks and industrial cybersecurity.
• Experience in control-system troubleshooting or equipment upgrades is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for cranes, winches, handling systems, and access equipment.
• Develop technical solutions for existing equipment and new products.
• Provide control-system troubleshooting and technical support to customers, production, service, and commissioning teams.
• Support system upgrades, equipment modifications, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare test documentation, operating instructions, and other relevant technical documentation.
