Job summary

Air Products seeks a senior leader to drive HSE, quality, and compliance across engineering, manufacturing and industrial operations. You will strengthen safety culture, lead the Quality Management System, supervise audits, and guide governance with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate regulatory changes into practical governance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in HSE, Quality, Compliance, or Operational Excellence in engineering, manufacturing, marine or industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation, ISO-based systems, audit methods, root cause analysis and corrective action governance.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills to engage senior management.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture and drive HSE excellence across the organization
  • Lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, industry, and corporate requirements
  • Plan and manage internal, external, customer, and certification audits
  • Act as an independent assurance authority, providing objective oversight and governance
  • Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and translate them into effective business practices
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes
  • Partner with local and global stakeholders to implement best practices and corporate standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, compliance and operational performance
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Leadership Team on HSE, Quality, Compliance and business risk

What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive relevant experience in HSE, Quality, Compliance, or Operational Excellence within engineering, manufacturing, marine or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation, ISO-based management systems, audit methodology, root cause analysis, corrective action management, and compliance governance
  • A proactive mindset and a strong drive for continuous improvement
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and promote high standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both operational teams and senior management
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
  • Norwegian language capability is important for effective engagement with local regulatory authorities, customers, and operational teams
