Process

The Project Completion Engineer is responsible for engaging and performing Completion and Commissioning activities related to the fabrication testing, documentation preparation and system testing of PWP topside equipment with special attention to Heat Trace and Insulation scope.

Responsibilities

• Role to ensure completion and commissioning requirements of all PWP process systems, meeting all company project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
• Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to Project Completion Strategy for relevant systems.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of relevant systems to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
• Responsible for establishing and follow up PIMSs LUDN system.
• Overall responsible for rotating equipment systems, providing supervision, direction, and guidance with regards to:
• Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm System Lead on dedicated systems.
• Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/ISO/P&ID's in collaboration with System Lead.
• Knowledge of reading/understanding P&ID's and ISO's.
• Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC Hand-Over Process.
• Plan and facilitate for check-out/execution of static commissioning.
• Plan and facilitate for Dynamic Commissioning activities.
• Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities.
• According to good Alliance practice, ensure good communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.
• Daily reporting to the Commissioning System Lead Process regarding ongoing Commissioning activities.
• Updates of Master Dossier for P&ID Red-line Mark-up, Valve and Blinding list according to System Lead's instructions.
• Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC Hand-over according to the System Lead's instructions.
• Contribute and advise related to Process input to overall Completion strategy and planning.
• Follow up LUDN module in PIMS, and set up LUDN according to project requirements.
• Manage related ATS and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for rotating Process Systems Commissioning.
  
  

Provide guidance and direction to the Process Commissioning Team, contributing in:

• Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT).
• Develop and review relevant commissioning procedures.
• Implement the commissioning scope.
• Contribute to a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
  
  

Required expertise

• BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience from Valhall's operations is of great benefit.
• Track record of engineering competency and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills.
• Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals.
• Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems.
• Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Performance: The Project Completion Engineer will agree goals for his/her performance with the Commissioning System Lead Process.

Language: Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).

Location(s): Base location onshore office Oslo and Stord Yard and at later stage Offshore.
