Job summary

Nexans USA Inc. seeks a Logistic Operator for Land Installation Logistics based in Halden, Norway, joining the Land Installation Logistics team within PWR Transmission.

You will handle warehouse activities, equipment handling, and internal production support across international locations, reporting to the Logistics Manager. The role emphasizes hands-on operations, safe handling, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across project teams, purchasing, and logistics coordinators.

Qualifications

• Background in logistics, warehouse operations, mechanical, or technical disciplines.
• Experience in industrial, production, or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Experience with SAP or similar warehouse management systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing equipment, tools, and consumables based on project and operational needs.
• Registering materials leaving and returning to the warehouse.
• Ensuring smooth and efficient order flow throughout the department.
• Using SAP as a daily tool for warehouse and logistics management.
• Supporting return logistics and ensuring internal procedures are followed.
• Producing project-related equipment and supporting maintenance activities when required.
• Verifying dispatched tools and safety equipment have valid certifications.
• Planning and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Collaborating with logistics coordinators, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Reporting progress, delays, deviations, and completion status on assigned tasks.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Participating in knowledge sharing, training, and competence development activities.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with company procedures.
