Library Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and organized Library Assistant to join our team in the city of Os.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Librarian with cataloging, classifying, and shelving materials
• Process new library materials including checking in, labeling, and preparing for circulation
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by helping patrons find materials, answering questions, and resolving issues
• Help plan and implement library programs such as storytimes, book clubs, and workshops
• Maintain the library's physical space by keeping shelves tidy, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting any maintenance needs
• Assist with collection development by identifying items for purchase based on community needs
• Collaborate with other staff members to promote library services through displays, social media posts, and outreach events
• Stay up-to-date on new technology trends in librarianship and assist patrons with using library resources effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
