Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for books and knowledge to join our team as a Library Assistant. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in the library, from cataloging and shelving books to assisting patrons with inquiries and checking out materials. This is a full-time position located in the beautiful city of Bergen, offering a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the library collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
• Assist patrons with locating materials and answering inquiries
• Check out and return books, DVDs, and other library materials
• Process new materials to add to the collection
• Create displays to promote new or interesting books
• Assist with organizing events and programs for library patrons
• Keep track of overdue materials and send out reminders to patrons
• Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library space
