Job summary

COWI is seeking a Discipline Lead to oversee international data centre projects, ensuring technical quality and high-quality design documentation. You'll manage client relationships, support projects from concept through commissioning, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. A strong background in civil engineering, experience with engineering design consultancies, and proficiency in Civil 3D or Revit are essential. This role can be based in any Scandinavian office, including Fredrikstad.

Qualifications

In this role, you will engage closely with clients, colleagues, and partners to develop and deliver data centre projects from early concept through design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Discipline Lead on international data centre projects, ensuring technical quality and high-quality design documentation
• Manage international data centre clients and stakeholders, translating requirements into robust civil designs and ensuring client expectations are met
• Support projects across the full lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through design, construction, and commissioning—particularly within drainage, road design, and underground utility coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
• Contribute to the development of the department’s international market and business

Skills & Qualifications

• A relevant educational background in civil engineering or a related field
• Experience working with an engineering design consultancy, as well as site experience
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools
• Experience with data centre projects or other large-scale, mission‑critical/industrial projects
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• A resourceful mindset and the ability to manage responsibilities in a rapid work setting
