Job summary

Aviant, a European leader in autonomous last-mile drone delivery, invites a Lead Technician to join the Ski, Norway workshop. You will maintain and manufacture drones, coordinate maintenance tasks, and help develop procedures and documentation to ensure Continuing Airworthiness.

You are extremely structured, hands-on, and able to organize and lead others. The role offers stock options and a chance to contribute to a groundbreaking transportation technology.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with drones or similar aerospace hardware.
• Highly organized and structured, able to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Strong practical skills in assembly, maintenance and documentation.
• Experience coordinating workshop activities and teams is a plus.
• Demonstrated drive to deliver results in a cutting-edge field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drones to ensure airworthiness and reliability.
• Manufacture drones as part of production and prototyping.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for the fleet.
• Develop and improve procedures, documentation and programs.
• Be responsible for the Continuing Airworthiness of the aircraft.

Job description

Aviant does home delivery with drones. We fly at 100 kph to people's gardens and deliver food and medicine. After starting in the labs at MIT in 2020, we have performed over 8,000 flights, covered tens of thousands of kilometers, completed more than 30 contracts and managed to take a leading position in the European drone market. We just launched Europes largest base for autonomous last-mile delivery with drones at Ski. This will be a major event in European transportation, and we are now looking for a lead technician to be responsible for our workshop, maintenance and manufacturing.

As a Lead Technician, you will:

• Maintain drones
• Manufacture drones
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
• Further develop procedures, documentation and programs
• Be responsible for the Continuing Airworthiness of our aircraft

Relevant technology:

• Methods: Soldering, crimping, CNC, metalworking, 3D printing
• Design: CAD, drawings
• Materials: Composites (CFRP, GFRP), wood, metal, plastic
• Components: BLDC motors, servos, batteries, flight controllers, PCBs
• Communication: PWM, UART, I2C, CAN
• Electronics: Signal electronics (3.3-5.0V), power electronics (50V)
