Job summary

Boeing Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems seeks Lead/Senior Space Electronics Packaging and Mechanical Product Design & Analysis Engineers for its El Segundo, CA team. You will shape satellite electronics packaging, perform thermal/structural/vibration analyses, and drive cradle-to-grave design from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 10+ years CAD experience and proficiency with CAD tools.
• 10+ years experience in thermal structural dynamics and/or vibration analysis or 5+ years PCB design experience.
• 5+ years experience in electronic packaging or product design and analysis.
• PhD in relevant field preferred for senior/principal roles.

Responsibilities

• Resolves complex issues on critical programs related to architecture, requirements, specs and design.
• Leads technical aspects of proposal preparation.
• Identifies critical performance measures and develops processes to compute them.
• Leads supplier management activities with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
• Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
• Develops new concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
• Recommends and manages technology insertion.
• Works under consultative direction.
