Job summary

GE HealthCare in Oslo is seeking a Scientist in Pharmaceutical Development to design and implement innovative formulations and drug products within neurology, oncology, and cardiology, supporting the diagnostic imaging portfolio.

You will conduct lab experiments, optimize development processes, and facilitate transfer from research to commercial manufacturing while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical drug product formulation development, preferably within a pharmaceutical industry environment.
  • Experience with sterile drug products, aseptic processing, lyophilization, and/or radiopharmaceutical products preferred.
  • Understanding of GMP requirements and regulatory expectations throughout the drug product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the development of new diagnostic imaging products from early development through clinical studies and commercial manufacturing, including formulation development, process development, scale‑up, and technology transfer.
  • Design and optimize pharmaceutical formulations and manufacturing processes, defining critical quality attributes and quality target product profiles.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee laboratory-based experimental studies to deliver project milestones on time and within scope.
  • Lead or support the manufacture and supply of drug products for pre‑clinical and clinical studies.
  • Provide scientific and technical expertise in drug product development across R&D and lifecycle management projects.
