Job summary

AutoStore is hiring a Lead Engineer to join Robotics – New Product Development, leading a small group of engineers across electronics, firmware, and mechanics, taking technical ownership from concept through to production. The role is primarily technical with people responsibility; you will plan and coordinate the team’s work, review designs, support technical decisions, and drive milestones.

Location options include Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or Oslo (Lysaker); application deadline September 20;

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience in product development.
• Background in electronics and/or firmware with leadership of technical teams.
• Experience delivering products from development to production.
• Proficient in project execution and Agile planning.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of assigned sub-systems from design to production.
• Lead multidisciplinary team across electronics, firmware, and mechanics.
• Collaborate with Product, System Architecture, Project Management, Supply Chain, Test, Compliance, and Manufacturing.
• Support suppliers and drive production readiness and standardisation.
• Mentor engineers, conduct regular 1:1s, and handle hiring and onboarding.
