Job summary

CTS Group in Fyresdal, Norway is looking for a Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design efforts from concept through construction. You will ensure timely, coordinated, and compliant design packages across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines in line with client requirements and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering field.
• 8–10 years in design management/coordination.
• Experience on data centre or other mission-critical / MEP-heavy projects.
• Proficient with BIM and digital coordination platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Solibri).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
• Manage coordination between design consultants, internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and the client.
• Oversee integration of architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines for fully coordinated designs.
• Drive design reviews, value engineering, and constructability workshops.
• Manage design changes and communicate impact assessments clearly.
• Maintain design programme in line with construction schedule and procurement strategy.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, local planning and building codes, and client specifications.
• Support procurement with technical input on design scope and tender documentation.
• Work closely with BIM/VDC teams to ensure effective model management and design coordination.
• Review and sign off on drawings, specifications, and submissions.
