Job description

At Lace Lithography, we’re scaling up our team and looking for a passionate and sharp Junior Accountant to join us in Bergen.

In our company we build chip lithography technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.

About The Role

Lace Lithography is seeking an ambitious Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. We offer a rare combination for an accountant starting out: solid, foundational day-to-day accounting work paired with the autonomy to improve and automate processes. Rather than being siloed in a large corporate team, you will get hands‑on exposure to the full breadth of finance in a fast scaling tech company; building skills that will anchor your career for years to come.

Working closely with our Accountant Manager, you will play a key role in keeping our books accurate, up to date and ready for reporting and audit. This is a fixed part time role, 3 days per week, starting with a focused scope that adds value to the team from day one, and can grow over time as you gain experience.

This role is based at our office in Blomsterdalen, Bergen. We work mainly in person, with some flexibility to work remotely when it suits the needs of the team. The position has a six-month probation period.

What You’ll Do

Example of workstreams. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as we grow.

  • Process improvement: Focus on key finance and accounting routines, make them simpler or automate them, and document how they are done
  • Register and process supplier invoices and receipts in our accounting system
  • Reconcile bank, supplier and other balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and follow up on prepayment invoices
  • Support payroll checks and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Help with month‑end tasks, such as accruals and journal entries
  • Keep accounting documentation organised and ready for audit
  • Over time, take on more tasks across our group companies in Norway, Spain and the Netherlands
Who You Are
  • Currently studying accounting, or recently graduated
  • Interested in finding smarter ways of working, for example with Excel, automation and AI tools
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and double-entry accounting
  • Knowledge of both NGAAP and IFRS
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken. You can expect the working language to move between Norwegian and English.
  • Agile in both Google Sheets and Excel
  • Adaptable to learning new information systems, and experience with an accounting system is a plus
  • Accurate, structured and eager to learn
  • Able to work 2 to 3 days per week from our Blomsterdalen office
