Company Description

TOMRA was founded in 1972, based on the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today TOMRA provides solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems, and food processing by employing sensor-based sorting and grading technology.

The TOMRA Group employs 5300 people globally and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE: TOM). TOMRA was named Norway’s Most Innovative Business in 2025, number one in the list of the country’s top 25 companies.

At TOMRA, we want people to innovate, show passion in their work and be responsible. We encourage the freedom to innovate and take risks that result in breakthroughs that challenge the status quo. We value passion that focuses and commits to meeting success. We believe in a responsible and safe mindset that takes care of our customers, products, and fellow employees.

Job Description

TOMRA Group IT supports TOMRA worldwide through secure, reliable, and innovative technology services that drive efficiency, collaboration, and digital transformation.

To further accelerate TOMRA’s digital transformation journey, we are now looking for an IT Solutions Architect – Power Platform that will help shape the future of Power Platform in the company. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that TOMRA maximises the value of the platform, while directly supporting our mission to lead the resource revolution and create a world without waste.

To succeed in this role, we think you are able to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on technical experience in one of Microsoft’s fastest evolving ecosystems. You are curious by nature, and enjoy exploring new emerging technologies with the potential to transform the way we work. Working across teams comes naturally to you, and you are able to build strong relationships with business stakeholders and citizen developers alike. You champion well‑governed use of Power Platform across TOMRA’s global business units, but you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting hands‑on when it’s needed.

The role sits within TOMRA’s End User Compute team, responsible for design and delivering End User Compute services across our global workforce.

Key responsibilities

  • Define, maintain, and evolve TOMRA’s Power Platform strategy, target architecture, and platform standards, including environment strategy, governance guardrails, DLP policies, connector management, licensing, and cost optimization.

  • Act as TOMRA's Power Platform subject matter expert and contribute to the ongoing development of the Power Platform Center of Excellence, helping the organization stay current with new capabilities, best practices, and innovations.

  • Drive the adoption of Copilot, AI agents, and other emerging Microsoft AI capabilities while ensuring that security, governance, and compliance are embedded into solution design and implementation.

  • Develop, maintain, and support applications and services within TOMRA's managed Power Platform environment.

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex Power Platform issues and incidents, working closely with support teams, solution owners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with Microsoft, partners, and vendors to maximize the value of TOMRA's Power Platform investment, including training, enablement, support, and consumption optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience might compensate for lack of formal education.

  • Several years of experience designing, developing and governing low‑code solutions, with proven experience across one or more Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure services (e.g. Logic Apps).

  • Strong understanding of Power Platform architecture and governance, including capabilities and tools for best practice enterprise adoption.

  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot studio, and AI Agents is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure services is a plus.

  • Strong at stakeholder management and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
