Join SLB Capturi as our Subcontracting Manager

SLB Capturi is a leading carbon capture technology company.

We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. Through our portfolio of projects, we are mitigating the environmental cost of industrial activity for a cleaner, more sustainable future. We see a daily growth in our market potential as a rising number of customers look to carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and our company to solve their emissions challenges.

SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

What will you be doing?

As a Subcontracting Manager – Compressor and Liquefaction Packages, you will be responsible for leading the full procurement and subcontracting lifecycle for some of the most complex and process-sensitive packages in our project portfolio. The role covers early supplier engagement, sourcing strategy, tendering, technical and commercial clarification, contract negotiation, award recommendation and post-award execution follow-up for compressor, liquefaction and related process packages. These packages are engineering-intensive, highly interface-driven and frequently exposed to changes in design basis, process assumptions, capacity requirements, utilities, controls, layout and execution strategy throughout tendering and EPC execution. The position therefore requires a senior procurement professional with strong commercial judgement, solid technical understanding and the ability to manage uncertainty, supplier risk and multidisciplinary stakeholder alignment in a structured and proactive way.

Your Responsibilities

Lead the procurement and subcontracting strategy for compressor, liquefaction, rotating equipment and process-package scopes, ensuring that the selected commercial model, supplier base and tender approach are aligned with project risk, engineering maturity and schedule requirements.

Drive market engagement, supplier prequalification and competitive tendering with qualified OEMs, package suppliers and specialist subcontractors, with preference for suppliers experienced in complex process-industry applications.

Work closely with process, mechanical, rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation, controls, quality, commissioning, legal and project management teams to define clear battery limits, technical requisitions, interfaces, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions and contractual baselines.

Lead the tender process, including enquiries, supplier clarification meetings, technical and commercial alignment, bid evaluation, exception handling, negotiation strategy, final recommendation and award preparation.

Manage the commercial impact of engineering development and design-basis changes during tendering and EPC execution, ensuring that scope movements, technical deviations, schedule impacts and variation exposure are identified, documented, challenged and resolved.

Provide strong post-award follow-up on supplier deliverables, document progress, expediting, inspection requirements, payment milestones, guarantees, claims, variation orders, risk mitigation and contractual compliance.

Build long-term supplier relationships and market intelligence within compressor, liquefaction and process-package markets, supporting both project execution and future strategic sourcing decisions.

A senior procurement, subcontracting or contract management background with significant experience from complex EPC, energy, industrial, process, oil and gas, CCUS, LNG, industrial gases or comparable capital project environments.

Preferably more than 5 years of relevant experience managing high-value, technically complex procurement packages from sourcing strategy through award and execution follow-up.

Experience with compressor packages, liquefaction systems, rotating equipment, refrigeration systems, process skids, modular process units or other engineering-intensive package scopes is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of the interface between engineering and procurement, including vendor data requirements, design maturity, process sensitivity, technical deviations, package integration, document reviews and change control.

Proven ability to lead commercial negotiations, challenge supplier assumptions, manage contractual risk, evaluate total cost impact and secure robust terms for scope, schedule, quality, warranties, bank guarantees, liabilities and variation mechanisms.

A relevant degree in engineering, supply chain, business, law or a related discipline, combined with strong English communication skills and the ability to operate confidently in an international project environment.

You are

Commercially strong, technically curious and comfortable taking ownership of complex package strategies with incomplete or evolving information.

Structured, proactive and resilient, with the ability to keep control of scope, assumptions, interfaces, risks and supplier commitments in a fast-moving EPC environment.

A confident persion who creates clarity, drives decisions and keeps stakeholders aligned when technical, commercial and schedule priorities compete.

Collaborative and people-oriented, with strong influencing skills and the ability to build trust across engineering, project management, suppliers, legal, quality, finance and senior leadership.

Assertive and constructive in challenging suppliers and internal stakeholders, while maintaining professional relationships and driving alignment toward project outcomes.

Calm under pressure, solution-oriented and able to manage ambiguity, conflict and changing priorities without losing sight of cost, schedule, quality and contractual commitments.

Accountable, disciplined and transparent, with strong follow-through and the ability to elevate issues early with clear options, consequences and recommendations.

A strong communicator who can translate technical changes into clear commercial consequences, decision points and management-level recommendations.

This is what we offer

Not just a job, but a career you can take an active role in the industrial energy transition. We believe carbon capture is essential to reach the goals of the Paris Agreement. We value the feeling of belonging, and this role will be crucial in supporting SLB Capturi to help the industry meet its carbon capture obligations.
