Job summary

DNB Bank ASA is seeking Software Engineers to join the DevOps team focused on Customer Experience. You will build and maintain cloud-native applications and integrations across DNB’s channels to support digital sales and customer experience.

You will work with a cross-functional team in an agile environment, implementing asynchronous patterns, APIs, and IaC, while collaborating with IT Architects and Product Owners to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficient in TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin, and solid experience in Node.js environments.
• Experience building integrations, APIs, webhook-based systems, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiar with GitHub or similar version control and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluent in English (written and oral).

We are now looking to strengthen our DevOps team for Customer Experience with skilled Software Engineers with focus on backend to help us build the best personalized customer experiences across DNB's channels to support digital sales and customer experience.

Your mission as a Software Engineer in our team:
As a Software Engineer, you will join a team of engaged and dedicated engineers who are working to build personalized customer experiences. Together with us you will design, develop, and maintain robust integrations with internal and external platforms. You will develop cloud-native applications using asynchronous and event-driven patterns. You will interact closely with IT Architects, Product Owners and other Engineers.

You'll participate in everything from design, implementation, quality assurance, deployment, monitoring and documentation of the services we build and maintain. We focus on creating the best developer experience towards our services and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing internally as well as externally. In this position, you will play a significant role in exploring, defining, and scaling our future revenue streams.

Background and technical skills:
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures. You should be proficient in TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin, and have solid experience in Node.js environments. We expect that you have significant experience in building integrations, APIs, and webhook-based systems as well as hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code. You should be familiar with GitHub or similar version control systems and have experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. You must be able to create system designs, and to interpret data models and schemas. We prefer that you have completed higher technical education, but we also acknowledge that extensive relevant experience may make up for this. You must be fluent in English (both oral and written). Norwegian skills are a plus - we can offer some training.

It is also a big plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:
It is an advantage if you have experience with optimizing components for high performance and security. It is a plus if you have some knowledge about modern authorization mechanisms, e.g. OAUTH 2.0, JSON Web Token. You should understand SaaS operating models and frontend technologies. It is also a plus if you have experience with asynchronous programming and distributed systems. You should have good understanding of automated testing, continuous integration and deployment practices.
