Job summary

DNB IT is offering a summer intern opportunity in Bergen, Norway, spanning about eight weeks. You will work on real projects with experienced tech professionals across a large, in-house technology environment, touching on digital services used by millions.

Depending on your background, you may contribute to development, testing, data, security, cloud solutions, mobile banking, machine learning or user-facing services, gaining hands-on experience and insight into how technology works in finance.

From cloud platforms and mobile banking to data, machine learning and responsible use of AI, our technology teams work on problems that are both complex and meaningful.

As a summer intern in DNB IT, you will spend around eight weeks working on real projects together with experienced tech professionals, while getting insight into how technology, finance and society connect.

What will you work with?

You will be part of a team working on digital solutions for customers, employees or partners. Depending on your background and interests, you may contribute to development, testing, data, security, cloud solutions, mobile banking, machine learning or user-facing services. The exact project will vary, but the goal is the same: you should get hands‑on experience and learn what it is like to work with technology at scale.

Previous summer interns have worked on projects such as:

• using NLP, machine learning and graph databases to support anti-money laundering work
• developing new features for the mobile bank using technologies such as Java, Spring, Kotlin, Swift and AWS
• exploring new digital services using Node.js, MongoDB, React and Express
• mapping opportunities for more sustainable IT development
