Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years experience in an IT managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, security protocols, and hardware/software systems.
• Experience with budget management and cost control measures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

We are in search of a highly qualified and motivated IT Manager to join our team in Svalbard As the IT Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our companys information technology systems and infrastructure This includes managing a team of IT professionals implementing and maintaining technology solutions and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of IT professionals including hiring training and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement technology strategies to support the companys goals
• Oversee the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems
• Ensure the security of our network and data through regular backups and system updates
• Monitor system performance and address any issues that arise in a timely manner
• Work with department heads to identify their technology needs and provide solutions
• Create and maintain documentation for all IT processes procedures and policies
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and make recommendations for their implementation

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 3 years experience in an IT managerial role

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Experience working in the information technology industry or related field
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure

Salary

We are offering a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this position

This position is located in Svalbard a remote archipelago in the Arctic Ocean While we prefer candidates who are already located in Svalbard we are open to candidates from other locations who are willing to relocate
