Job description

As an Interpreter in Bergen you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely interpretation services to clients in various settings. Your main duties will include interpreting conversations, documents and other materials in a clear and concise manner. You will also be expected to accurately convey cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions between languages. This position requires excellent language skills, a high level of cultural sensitivity and the ability to work well under pressure.

To excel in this role you must have at least a Bachelors degree in Interpretation or a related field. You should also possess native-level proficiency in both English and your target languages. Previous experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required. However you must have strong communication skills and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Your responsibilities as an Interpreter may include accompanying clients to appointments or meetings, facilitating communication between parties who do not speak the same language and translating written materials such as legal documents or medical records. You may also be required to provide simultaneous interpretation during conferences or events.

This is a part-time position with a salary of $1300 per month. Please note that this does not include accommodation. Therefore it is preferred that you have your own accommodation within Bergen or the surrounding area.
