Job summary

AlphaConnect in Os, Norway, seeks an experienced Instrument Technician to install, calibrate, maintain and repair instruments and control systems in industrial settings.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and document all work. The role requires reading diagrams, following manuals, and collaborating with engineers.

This is an urgent contract with potential for long-term employment; visa sponsorship may be provided for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Os Norway As an Instrument Technician you will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of various types of instruments and control systems used in industrial settings This includes but is not limited to pressure gauges thermometers flow meters and control valves

Key Responsibilities

• Install and calibrate new instruments according to specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instruments and control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning
• Monitor instrument performance and make adjustments as needed
• Keep detailed records of all work performed
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on projects as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
• Knowledge of various types of instruments and control systems commonly used in industrial settings
• Familiarity with electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina for working in a variety of environments including confined spaces at times

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant technical degree or certification
• Experience with software programs used for instrument calibration
• Familiarity with safety regulations in an industrial setting
