Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking a Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) to lead discipline engineering activities for offshore installations. You will ensure work is performed to plan, identify deviations, and log changes in the project change control system.

The candidate will produce and revise documentation, understand P&IDs and IS loop calculations, and collaborate with clients and vendors to implement optimal technical solutions. Strong Norwegian/English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess deep knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (NORSOK, PTIL, API).
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Produce and understand process documentation and drawings (P&IDs, SCD diagrams, IS loop calculations).
• Revise existing drawings and documents; ensure discipline checks and approvals.
• Coordinate with client and vendor representatives to find optimal technical solutions.
• Order instrument materials required for offshore installation.
• Interpret drawings from multiple disciplines and ensure consistency with plans.

Function

Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) is responsible for discipline engineering activities. The Senior DRE shall ensure that the work within the discipline is carried out according to plan and that progress is reported. The Senior DRE shall ensure that potential changes/deviations are identified and logged in accordance with project change control system.

• Produce/understand new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation.
• Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Requirements

Required Education:

• Lack of education requires 10-15 years of relevant work experience

Required Work Experience:

• More than 10 years experience in engineering within the Oil&Gas industry.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL and API standards
• High degree of self learning skills
• Good communication
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking skills
• Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
