Job summary

TikTok is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to craft engaging learning experiences and scalable training content for a global audience in Os, Norway. You will plan projects, partner with stakeholders, and drive evidence-based leadership learning strategies across platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of instructional design, strong English communication, and proficiency with HTML5/H5P, Adobe Suite, Captivate and Storyline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in instructional design and instructional technology.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in related field.
• Experience in agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) environments.
• Experience with game-based learning, micro-learning, simulations and immersive scenarios.
• Experience building blended and micro-learning programs.
• Strong HTML5/H5P knowledge and familiar with design software.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Storyline; ability to storyboard.
• Strong project management and leadership to meet timelines.
• Ability to write instructional copy and scripts.
• Solid knowledge of LMS platforms and course development software.

Instructional Designer

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
• Plans instructional design projects.
• Manages overall projects to ensure a globally consistent training experience that directly impacts employee success.
• Promotes collaboration partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in a design project.
• Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
• Applies advanced adult learning theories into practical application-based leadership learning strategy.
• Partners and collaborates with other learning professionals and business partners in delivering a globally consistent learning experience.
• Develops comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.
• Communicates effectively in visual oral and written form and deliver engaging presentations to business leaders.
• Acquires and applies new technology skills to instructional design practice.
• Remains a thought leader in instructional design and innovation.
• Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply.
• Create supporting material/media (audio video simulations role plays games presentations participant and trainers' guides etc.)

Education and Experience

• Proven at least 5 years of working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Adult learning or Instructional Design/Technology preferred
• Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment
• Experience designing developing and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning video micro-learning simulations and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred
• Experience in building blended learning programs and micro-learning
• Good understanding of HTML H5p (HTML5) and Flash in the context of Learning Technologies
• Strong proficiency with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite Captivate Suite/Storyline)
• Visual design skills and ability to storyboard
• Proficiency in design software (Dreamweaver Photoshop Illustrator)
• Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve design target timelines.
• Ability to write effective copy instructional text audio scripts/video scripts
• Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
