Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, maritime studies or social sciences or equivalent demonstrated by scholarly or artistic work of similar scope.
• Teaching and supervision experience in higher education.
• Ability to teach courses in Shipping Management.
• Strong English (oral and written) skills.
• Norwegian language skills at level B2.
• Experience building innovative learning environments through research or educational practice.
• Ability to connect commercial and operational maritime perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the teaching portfolio in Shipping Management.
• Supervise bachelor, master and PhD students.
• Initiate and develop research projects for innovative teaching methods.
• Publish research in relevant fields.
• Build and maintain networks with the maritime industry.
• Disseminate research and knowledge.
• Perform relevant administrative tasks.
