Nscale is hiring an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our data centre infrastructure in Glomfjord. You’ll join Infrastructure Operations and report to the Infrastructure Operations Manager, collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects, capacity planning, and customer support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data centre environments.
• Expertise in server administration, virtualization and networking.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, PowerShell, Python.
• Hands-on server experience in a tech organisation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced technical certifications.
• Ability to decide in ambiguous, results-driven environments.
• Influence without authority and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized and independent.
• Strong customer service ethos; large-scale data centres a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects and upgrades.
• Support deployments across additional data centres.
• Respond to out-of-hours operational demands and customer needs.
• Travel to other data centres to assist colleagues.
• Monitor power, cooling and network connectivity.
• Respond to critical incidents during off-hours.
• Handle escalated customer support issues.
• Investigate major incidents and implement long-term fixes.
• Design automation scripts to optimize processes.
• Collaborate on capacity planning initiatives.
• Drive infrastructure optimisation through scalable improvements.
