Job summary

JJS ProsjektPartner AS seeks an experienced industrial painter for offshore installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. You will perform abrasive blasting, water jetting and apply protective coatings per project specifications and safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of offshore painting and surface treatment, epoxy PFP experience (Chartek), and Norwegian language level B1. Offshore rotation is 2 weeks on / 4 weeks off.

Job description:

Industrial painting, surface preparation and protective coating work on offshore oil and gas installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Typical work includes abrasive blasting, water jetting, coating application by airless spray / brush / roller, stripe coating, and application or repair of epoxy intumescent passive fire protection (PFP), including Chartek systems. Work is performed in accordance with project specifications, coating procedures, HSE requirements and client quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant, documented experience in industrial painting and surface treatment.
• Hands-on experience with surface preparation, including abrasive blasting and/or high-pressure water jetting, and application of protective coating systems.
• Documented experience with epoxy intumescent passive fire protection (PFP), preferably Chartek or equivalent systems.
• Experience with NORSOK M-501 or equivalent offshore coating requirements is an advantage.
• Trade certificate (fagbrev) in industrial painting/surface treatment is an advantage. Candidates without a trade certificate must meet §13 or equivalent site-test competence requirements, where applicable.
• Minimum B1 level in a Scandinavian language: Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.
• Before offshore mobilisation, candidates must meet the assignment-specific requirements for recognised basic safety/emergency training and a valid offshore medical certificate. Exact certificate requirements will be confirmed during recruitment.
• Strong HSE awareness, quality focus, reliability and ability to work effectively in multicultural project teams.

Type of work contract:

Permanent employment with JJS ProsjektPartner AS, subject to the applicable probationary period. Offshore assignments are normally organised on a 2 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation, subject to client and project requirements.

Starting date:

Expected start: 01.01.2027. Exact mobilisation date to be agreed with the selected candidate.

Working hours:

Typical 2/4 offshore rotation: 14 days on / 28 days off, normally 12-hour shifts (168 working hours per 6-week rotation cycle), subject to the assignment schedule.

Place of work:

Offshore installations in the Norwegian sector of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), depending on assignment.

Salary:

Salary and applicable supplements in accordance with the relevant Norwegian collective agreement (tariff) and assignment-specific terms.

Other information:
