Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead a large, site-wide data centre construction and delivery organisation in Norway. You will oversee detailed designs, construction delivery, commissioning and hand-off to operations, while managing vendor relationships and global delivery models.

The role requires 5+ years in mission-critical project management, experience with electrical and mechanical systems, and a track record in international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in project and construction management in critical infrastructure.
• 5 years of experience in mission-critical project and construction management, specializing in hyperscale data center delivery and MEP systems integration.
• Experience with commercial contract management and procurement.
• Experience managing construction projects, within an international working environment.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large, site-wide data centre construction and delivery organisation.
• Ensure detailed designs, oversee delivery, cost, quality and EHS, commissioning and hand-off.
• Establish and maintain delivery models and vendor relationships globally.
• Involved in hiring and developing talent in project management and field engineering.
• Research and implement construction means and methods for data centre equipment and facilities.
