Live Lofoten AS is seeking an Operational Manager to lead the hotel’s daily operations and drive performance across departments. You will balance hands-on leadership with financial oversight, staff development and active sales follow-up to deliver guest experiences that meet high standards.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on profitability and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience from hotels, hospitality, tourism or a similar operational business
• Leadership and personnel management experience
• Strong understanding of operational and financial management
• Experience with cost control and performance monitoring
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in sales
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to lead several departments and priorities simultaneously
• A hands-on and solution-oriented leadership style
• Scandinavian language skills are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily operation of the hotel
• Manage and support the Head Chef/F&B Manager, Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper
• Ensure strong cooperation and communication between all operational departments
• Financial management and ongoing performance monitoring
• Budget follow-up, cost control and KPI management
• Workforce planning together with department managers
• Overall personnel management and development of the leadership team
• Follow-up of sick leave, working environment and HR procedures
• Overall responsibility for HSE, regulatory requirements and internal control
• Ensure that procedures, documentation, inspections and deviations are properly followed up
• Lead regular operational and management meetings
• Plan staffing and capacity based on upcoming bookings, groups and events
• Take an active role in sales and commercial development
• Follow up tour operators, group business, corporate clients and other key customer segments
• Ensure efficient, high-quality and profitable operations
• Report regularly to the General Manager
