Humber River Health seeks an Environmental Attendant to join the Environmental Services team at the Finch Campus. The role focuses on cleaning, maintenance and safe, respectful patient‑focused service in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will follow safety policies, operate equipment, participate in training, and support a clean, safe facility for patients, families and staff. Ontario Secondary School diploma is required and good English skills are essential.

Formación

• Ontario Secondary School diploma, equivalent, or higher education required.
• Good command of English language essential (reading, verbal and written).
• Recent housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (attend training as required).
• Ability to perform routine duties with accuracy in a busy environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 35 kg and stand long periods.
• Must work independently or as part of a team; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, maintain, dust, and damp mop all assigned areas.
• Dust, wash, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean and vacuum carpets where applicable.
• Gather and dispose of garbage and linen.
• Clean isolation rooms, broken glass and dispose of body fluids.
• Operate and move hospital equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Follow department policies; sign in/out via computer.
• Participate in orientation, training and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain awareness of safety procedures and emergency protocols.
