We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the software development team for Issuance and Custody at VPS (Euronext Securities Oslo). The role is based in Oslo, with opportunities for travel to other Euronext locations.
You will be responsible for managing full-stack development teams, working closely with Principal Engineers to ensure high coding standards and technical alignment. The position involves strategic planning, resource management, and growing the team over time.
We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills, solid technical expertise, and a passion for solving complex challenges. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate software development teams
Provide technical support to development teams
Ensure project completion on time and according to quality standards
Collaborate with other departments for project integration
Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and improvements
Plan and manage resources to optimize efficiency and productivity
Keep technical knowledge up-to-date and promote continuous training
Validate design choices and development frameworks assigned to SW Principal
Implement improvements in software development processes
Introduce and oversee AI practices within the development workflow
Maintain business alignment according to company plans and objectives
Required Skills and Experience:
Approximately 7-10 years of total professional experience in software development/IT
Around 3-5 years of management experience specifically leading development teams
Goal-oriented mindset
Experience in managing software development teams
Advanced technical skills in software development
Leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Deep knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and proven ability to implement them
Exceptional problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities
Strong communication skills and predisposition to teamwork
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in software development, particularly with Java stack
Knowledge of Mainframe based solutions
Familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into software development
Experience in process improvement and optimization
