A Snapshot of Your Day

As Head of Business Controlling for the Electrification, Automation and Digitalization business unit, you are driving financial transparency, governance, and strategic impact.

You lead a high-performing, international team, champion digitalization, and translate business strategy into financial results.

Your leadership empowers the SVP, VP Finance, and cross-functional peers to make informed decisions that shape the future of Siemens Energy.

You will be role-modelling our Siemens Energy values and Leadership Essentials and have a strong background in finance, with excellent leadership and strategic planning skills, in short: You are a Senior Business Controlling Leader by Heart.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Financial Leadership: Own all aspects of financial management reporting, performance analysis, and operational controlling for TI EAD.
  • Strategic Partner: Deliver high-quality financial data and insights to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Design and lead robust forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment across the organization.
  • Digital Transformation: Set and execute the digital roadmap, leveraging data analytics and digital tools to enhance reporting and business insights.
  • M&A & Ad-hoc Support: Provide financial expertise for M&A activities and other strategic initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary interface for financial information across markets, strategic initiatives, and reporting requirements, including investor relations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of best-in-class financial practices, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse finance team, promoting collaboration, talent development, and professional growth.
  • Sparring Partner: Act as a trusted advisor to the Global VP Finance of the Independent Managed Business (IMB).

What You Bring

  • Advanced degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles, with a strong background in business controlling and financial management. Operational experience (sales, project execution) is a plus.
  • Deep expertise in financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and reporting.
  • Proven track record in leading financial planning and reporting processes in complex, global environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing multicultural, cross-regional teams and navigating diverse business models.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking abilities; results-oriented with a “big-picture” mindset.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, advanced Excel, and digital analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • High integrity, courage to challenge the status quo, and proactive, dynamic approach.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages are an asset.
