Job summary

NOBA Bank Group seeks a Branch Head of AML to oversee day-to-day AML/CTF operations at Bank Norwegian. You will lead the AML specialists, ensure regulatory changes translate into practical actions, and bridge local operations with group standards across Compliance, Risk, Legal and Front Office.

You will shape first-line controls, mentor a high-performing team, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong controls in a Nordic context.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Finance, Law, Economics or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on AML/CTF experience in banking/financial services, incl. KYC and transaction monitoring.
• Proven experience implementing AML frameworks, policies and procedures, and running first-line controls.
• Strong understanding of AML regulation in a Nordic/EU context, incl. AML package (AMLR).
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Fluency in Norwegian or Swedish, and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day execution of AML/CTF policies, procedures and controls.
• Lead AML specialist team and AML Team Manager, fostering competence development and engagement.
• Lead first-line execution of KYC, enhanced due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
• Run day-to-day transaction monitoring and alert handling, and escalate suspicious activity.
• Translate policies and procedures into workable processes and workflows.
• Ensure correct performance and documentation of first-line controls, and follow up on deviations and remediation actions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and remediation activities.
• Provide pragmatic AML guidance to business stakeholders.
