Job summary

Delicatessen Stavanger is a relatively small restaurant with a close-knit team, and we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and involved in the daily operation. As Head Chef, you'll work alongside the team in service, leading by example and helping ensure that every shift runs smoothly.

You will be responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen, lead and develop the team, oversee staffing and schedules, manage ordering and inventory, monitor food costs, and ensure IK‑Mat

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership in a kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork and staff-development mindset.
• Experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef is preferred.
• Spanish cuisine experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations and service delivery.
• Oversee staffing, schedules, ordering, inventory, and food costs.
• Ensure IK‑Mat compliance and hygiène standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with General Manager to foster a positive kitchen culture.
• Oversee and develop the catering operation as part of the business.
