Job summary

Google is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects across Norway, coordinating with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate progress across time zones.

In the Strategic Partnership Office, you will connect Google's technology capabilities with local communities, driving civic impact and developing strategies for economic and workforce development through place-based partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience managing a team of managers.
• Experience developing and launching local, state, national or global public-private partnerships.
• Experience in data centers, utilities, government, advanced manufacturing or capital intensive industries.
• Experience using data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead global data center community development strategies, investments, and impact for Norway.
• Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and non-profits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs and accelerating business objectives.
• Collaborate with team leaders and peers to develop strategies to scale sub regional Community Affairs coverage in emerging markets, focusing on place-based frameworks and partnerships to produce location-specific development plans based on research data turned into actionable insights to prioritize community needs.
• Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining, localizing and implementing community development initiatives in each community.
