Job summary

Dorminy Medical Center is seeking a Director of Geri-Psych to lead nursing staff on the unit and advance geriatric-psychiatric care. The role focuses on supervision, program contribution, and community relations, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure, an associate degree (BSN preferred), ACLS, and 3+ years of geriatric psychiatric care experience, with strong leadership abilities and a history of staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Georgia.
• 2 year associate degree (BSN preferred)
• 3 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of geriatric psychiatric care
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and evaluation of all nursing personnel on the unit.
• Contribute to the program, nursing and hospital through commitment to nursing goals and community relations.
• Supervise clinical staff and report to the Director of Nursing.
