Overview

Do you have a passion for marine engines? Yanmar Norge AS seeks a General Manager to lead the Norwegian office, with responsibility for daily management, sales, marketing, employees, dealers, and P&L. Reports to the Sales & Marketing Director in the Netherlands.

Yanmar Norge AS is located in Lillestrøm municipality between Oslo city centre and Oslo Airport. We serve the Norwegian market for inboard boat engines and industrial engines via a solid network of dealers, workshops and shipyards. We expect to grow and to strengthen our team to support ambitious growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Yanmar Norge AS in regards to business, employees and customers.
  • Aim for high motivation and performance across teams.
  • Identify and solve possible bottlenecks in the organisation or business network.
  • Build a strong internal trust between all team members.
  • Overall responsible for Sales, Aftersales, Warehouse and Marketing.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve corporate growth targets.
  • Strong focus on developing and maintaining high level of Customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and expand the network of Yanmar distributors, dealers and partners.
  • Keep a close loop contact to Yanmar Marine International.
Required background / experience
  • Commercial attitude and a proven experience in a sales management role.
  • Ability to combine strategic leadership with operational execution.
  • Bachelor degree or similar within Business, Finance or Engineering.
  • Familiar with how to create success within a dealership network.
  • Good knowledge within marine engines is appreciated.
  • General interest in technology, like customized solutions with digitalization.
  • Available for business travel both domestic and abroad.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both oral and written.
  • Passion for engines, boating and / or watersport is a plus!
