Job summary

The City of Loganville is recruiting for a Sergeant EMT I/A in the Fire Department. This role involves responding to emergencies, suppressing fires, providing medical assistance, and handling hazardous materials incidents.

Must obtain and maintain Georgia EMT-I/A and firefighter certifications, plus related trainings, with adherence to all department rules and safety procedures. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18 years of age, valid driver’s license, and a clear MVR.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School Diploma or GED; 18 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (7 year MVR you provide).
• Criminal history must be satisfactory; pass pre-employment written test, physical agility test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Sergeant EMT I/A Closing Date/Time: Open Until Filled Salary: $53,795.55 Job Type: Full Time / Non-Exempt Department: Fire Department The City of Loganville is accepting applications for the position of Sergeant EMT I/A.

This is skilled work in fire prevention, fire extinguishing and rescue activities. Responds to emergency calls for fire suppression, medical assistance, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents and other emergency situations.

Must be able to learn firefighting techniques and procedures quickly and thoroughly, must learn rules and regulations of the department and be able to understand and follow detailed oral instructions. Must work well under pressure and learn assigned territory.

Qualifications:

Completion of High School Diploma or GED; 18 years of age. Possess valid driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (7 year MVR you provide).
