Job summary

The City of Loganville is recruiting for a Sergeant EMT I/A in the Fire Department. This role involves responding to emergencies, suppressing fires, providing medical assistance, and handling hazardous materials incidents.

Must obtain and maintain Georgia EMT-I/A and firefighter certifications, plus related trainings, with adherence to all department rules and safety procedures. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18 years of age, valid driver’s license, and a clear MVR.

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED; 18 years of age.
  • Possess valid driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (7 year MVR you provide).
  • Criminal history must be satisfactory; pass pre-employment written test, physical agility test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to emergency calls for fire suppression, medical assistance, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents and other emergency situations.
  • Performs firefighting techniques and procedures; follows department rules and regulations; works well under pressure.
