Job description

ABOUT US:

At Sportradar, we’re building the future of sports technology — and secure, seamless identity management is a key part of that mission. Our CommonIAM team provides the authentication and access foundation used across all our products, helping millions of users connect safely and effortlessly.

We’re now looking for a Front-End Developer to join us in Trondheim. If you enjoy solving real-world challenges, collaborating with kind and talented people, and writing clean, user-focused code — we’d love to meet you.

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Turn ideas into reality by building and evolving engaging, user-facing applications with React and TypeScript — all in a modern and supportive environment where every voice matters.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to create secure, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.
  • Write clean, thoughtful, and accessible code, with a focus on teamwork, clarity, and building for real users.
  • Join our on-call support rotation (approx. every 5–7 weeks) — it’s remote-friendly, well-supported, and designed with learning and balance in mind. You’ll always have guidance, resources, and recovery time. Many team members say it’s a great opportunity to grow confidence and technical skills in real-world settings — with support at every step.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript, and care about building thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
  • You enjoy collaborating, sharing knowledge, and learning with your team — and you value writing code that’s both effective and easy to understand.
  • You bring a positive, curious mindset — you're proactive, detail-oriented, and care deeply about the end user.
  • You're open to taking part in our supported on-call rotation and feel confident knowing you’ll never be left on your own.

Nice to Have (But Not Required!)

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling.
  • A passion for accessibility, performance, and seamless user experiences.
  • Experience with Auth0 or other identity providers.
  • Comfort using testing tools like Jest or React Testing Library.
  • Curiosity or experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (like Terraform) or CI/CD pipelines.

OUR OFFER:

  • A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and US) including various social events and teambuilding.
  • Flexibility to manage your workday and tasks with autonomy.
  • A balance of structure and autonomy to tackle your daily tasks.
  • Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants.
  • Global Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Calm and Reulay app (leading well-being apps designed to support focus, quality rest, mindfulness, and long-term mental resilience).
  • Online training videos.
  • Flexible working hours.

While we appreciate the flexibility and benefits of working from home, we strongly believe that coming together in person fosters stronger connections, encourages collaboration, and drives innovation—both as individuals and as a company. The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a hybrid model, with team members working in the office three days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
  • A short (home) task: to showcase your technical skills.
  • Technical Interview: To further discuss your technical solution and skills, with a possible code extension.
  • Finals Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!
