Job summary

Side is seeking a Linguist to bring French-language game content to life for players in the French market. You’ll translate in-game text, UI and legally‑relevant materials, and ensure tone, style and cultural nuance meet client guidelines.

As part of a multilingual localization team, you’ll edit and QA translations, develop glossaries and style guides, and collaborate with fellow translators to maintain consistency while meeting deadlines within the localization pipeline.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of translation, localization or language services experience.
• Game localization experience preferred.
• Familiar with memoQ, Trados, XTM and client systems.
• Excellent written English and French with strong cultural understanding.

Responsibilities

• Translate in-game text, UI and legally relevant texts per client guidelines.
• Edit translations for accuracy, consistency and natural flow.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.
• Meet project deadlines within localization pipeline.
• Collaborate with other translators to ensure cohesion.
• Support onboarding of new translators and test evaluations.
• Communicate with clients on day-to-day language matters.
