Job summary

Unknown Construction Company in Alta, Norway, is seeking a Formworker to build and install concrete forms for diverse projects.

You will read blueprints, cut and assemble forms, brace and align them, install rebar, pour concrete, and finish surfaces. This role welcomes students for part-time or summer work and requires visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Formworker is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.

Responsibilities

Formworker

A reputable construction company in Alta is seeking a reliable and hardworking Formworker to join our team. As a Formworker, you will be responsible for constructing and installing concrete forms for various construction projects.

• - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• - Use hand and power tools to construct wooden or metal forms
• - Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications
• - Cut, shape, and join materials together to form molds for concrete pouring
• - Align and brace forms in place using various methods such as screws, nails, or clamps
• - Install rebar or wire mesh within forms as needed
• - Pour concrete into forms and smooth out surface using trowels or other tools
• - Remove forms after concrete has cured and clean up work area

• - Prior experience as a Formworker or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• - Basic knowledge of construction techniques and materials is a plus
• - Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements accurately
• - Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
• - Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions carefully
• - Own transportation is preferred but not required

This position offers a competitive salary of $900 per week.

This job is located in Alta, Norway. Applicants must either have their own visa or be eligible to work in Norway.
