Job summary

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Alta Norway. As a Formwork Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing and assembling the temporary structures and molds used to create concrete structures. This role requires someone with a high level of precision and attention to detail as well as strong physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and plans to determine the construction requirements
• Measure and cut materials to the required size
• Assemble and install formwork according to specifications
• Secure formwork in place using various methods such as nails, screws or clamps
• Pour concrete into the formwork and smooth it using tools such as trowels or screeds
• Remove formwork after the concrete has set and clean up any excess material
• Repair or replace damaged formwork as needed
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed on site at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in formwork carpentry
• Strong understanding of construction blueprints and plans
• Ability to accurately measure and cut materials to required specifications
• Physically fit with excellent stamina for performing manual labor in various weather conditions
• Experience working at heights and using power tools preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English; Norwegian language skills preferred
• Must have valid work authorization in Norway
