Overall Purpose of the Job

To safely and securely drive and control industrial forklift trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around warehouses, storage yards or other worksites, using hydraulic lifting mechanism for moving heavy and large objects.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Observe authorised instruction, proper operating procedures and safety practices to move materials from/to designated points in a safe and secure manner
• Manipulate forklift controls to safely and securely load and unload product
• Perform routine inspections on the forklift to ensure its safety and to ensure it is capable of performing the job required
• Assist in other manual or machine-operated moving duties as directed within the expectations of safe operations
