LemFi, a Series B fintech, seeks a Deputy General Counsel to anchor its Oslo office and steer complex financing, M&A, and regulatory matters for European expansion.

The role combines advisory and execution, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, with responsibilities spanning debt facilities, securities, and global compliance while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and People teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a top-tier international law firm or in-house legal function.
• Experience advising on debt financings, credit facilities and security packages.
• Exposure to M&A or venture-backed equity.
• Capital structure, investor documentation and multi-jurisdiction governance knowledge.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management; able to communicate with non-lawyers.
• Must have a law degree and qualification to practice in the UK or Europe.

Responsabilités

• Own legal structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex debt financing arrangements with finance team.
• Lead legal support for strategic transactions: M&A, fundraising and corporate matters with due diligence coordination.
• Oversee Employee Stock Option Plan administration across jurisdictions.
• Advise on global employment structures and incentive schemes with People team.
• Serve as the legal architect for new products, collaborating with Product and Engineering.
• Partner with CLO on governance, capital markets and strategic legal projects; mentor the legal team.
