Santander Consumer Bank Nordics is seeking a Financial Controller for a 1-year temporary role in Norway. You will handle IFRS topics, financial control and funding activities in collaboration with a ten-person team based in Oslo.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial control is preferred.
• Strong IFRS knowledge or motivation to deepen IFRS expertise.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Exposure to IFRS assessments, financial instruments, and automation/AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to accounting assessments, documentation and controls across IFRS and financial control topics.
• Perform selected month-end activities, account reconciliations, accounting monitoring.
• Work closely with funding activities, hedge accounting, derivatives and other financial instruments.
• Contribute to quality assurance of annual, monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Support projects and ad hoc matters where FQ&A is involved as an accounting/financial control expert.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank on new or changed products and processes.
• Improve processes through data quality, standardization, and AI-enabled tools where relevant.
